Kyle Sears

Bio
I grew up in Mt. Pleasant, TX and came to faith at Nevill's Chapel Baptist Church. I surrendered to the ministry when I was 16 years old. While attending Baylor University, I was a youth pastor. I married my wife, Erika, and we moved to Arkansas to become an associate pastor. Our family met Tim and Carrie Bourne and soon decided to plant a church in Frisco, TX. After four years of successful ministry in Frisco, my family and I moved to Hutto, TX to start our second church plant, Resonate Community Church.

My wife, Erika, is integral to the success of our ministry in Hutto. We have two beautiful girls, Kylie and Kathryn.

Vision
We want to be a church that plants churches. We are currently raising up leaders who will be planting a church in two years. Our vision is to raise up leaders and send them out every two years. In Hutto, we are a community-minded church, active in the life of our town: schools, city government, recreational sports, and community-wide projects have benefited from our ministry. We are raising people up to become genuine disciples, who carry the gospel into their homes and jobs and see the good news spread to those who have yet to come to faith.

Target
Hutto is primarily young, working families. Our church is mostly 30-somethings with young children. We are finding that there are many in Hutto who desire to serve and volunteer, but have no real outlet for doing so. We are connecting them to the call to serve and love one another, and in doing so they are discovering the reason for the hope that we have!
